I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
Nancy, if you put them in a brown paper bag, they will ripen. Very fast. Depending on the stage going in the bag, they could be ripe next day. The brown paper traps the natural gas that ripens fruit and accelerates ripening. Now full green tomatoes will take a couple of days.
I put mine in a box wrapped in newspaper.
Wrap in newspaper and place in a dark place with none of them touching. Check daily but they should ripen evenly.

I always put them on a window ledge in the sun. Turn to get all sides ripened.
You can try to kill the vines- stop watering them. This should help ripen your tomatoes.
Put them in a brown paper bag.
