Hi Shirley, immediately I think about small tables with flaps that fold down. Like this one: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/outdoor/furniture/diy-thursday-antiqued-emerald-side-table-717601
However, I have also seen table that fold away into a drawer that can be pulled out when needed. Very cool. https://mountainmodernlife.com/diy-pull-out-table/

Hi Ikea has a great footing table !!! It folds to about 6-7 inches wide !!! Then you can lift either one or both sides to open it up ! It even has 3 drawers for storing stuff . Also makes great craft table or folding table in the laundry room.
We have a table with 2 fold down leaves. We can raise them to sit 6 or more at the table, but most days it is folded down for 2 or 3 at most. Also, you can get duel tables that serve as a sitting area and fold down into a table and bench. More and more companies are making furniture with duel purposes in mind.

How to Make a Folding Wall Art Table With Kyle Schuneman

There are plans out there you just have to weed thru them and find a style that fits your style and skill level.
