How do I fix wallpaper that's peeling off?
The wallpaper on the corner of a wall in my house is starting to peel off. Any advice about the best way to glue it back?
Hi Tammy, can you paint it? If not you might considering covering it with drapes. Drop cloth is inexpensive and you can drape a whole wall with it for a new look.

Better check with your landlord
I wouldn't touch that wood without a written letter from your landlord.... they may love it. If they give you their blessing, I would paint it, will make the room much brighter and look larger. I did my neighbors house, and it looked amazing.
If the landlord is ok with it, I would definitely paint it! My in-laws just painted their basement. All the walls were covered in park wood paneling, it makes the basement look bigger and brighter! They wished they had done it years ago! They went with a greige (grey and beige) color!
