How can I paint or stain wood letters?
I have 4 wood letters...H.O.M.E and I would like to give them a rustic look. Any suggestions? The letters are 12 inches tall.

If you want to use paint, chalk paint would be easy to use and you can sand the edges to give the letters a rustic look. Stain them first, let them dry, paint over the stain with chalk paint, and then distress with some fine grit sandpaper. Finish with a clear poly spray. Fun project!
Instead of staining them you can spray them with black or dark brown spray paint. Then paint them over with the chalk paint. Distress them using sandpaper and then use a creme wax or a clear poly spray over the top. So fun and easy. Good luck!
