Hi Erin,
If it's from hard water, it should be minerals that will dissolve if you spray them with vinegar and let them sit for 1/2 hour - more or less. The timing isn't exact. You can also make a paste of baking soda and water, put that on the stains. Let that sit a while, spray on the vinegar and let that sit too. Finally scrub the entire area it the stains should release. I hope that helps. Wishing you the best.
The british have a lot of that problem..go to google.co.uk and you will find some help. When I was living there, there was a show on how to do that. Good luck.
Try CLR. Works great!
Vinegar, Coca Cola, pumice stone.
WD40
Maybe CLR, or clorox clinging bleach toilet cleaner
empty water from bowl, use either straight vinegar or straight CLR place a wash cloth soaked in either solution over the mineral deposits and let it sit at least 15 minutes then scrub with green scrubber sponge and whichever solution you have chosen then repeat if any residue left
If it's in an area that can be soaked you can place a vinegar soaked rag around the area and let it sit for half a day. Or CLR or Limeaway products might work as well if it's really tough.
