How can I resurface a concrete deck?
We have a large grey concrete back deck. The concrete is discolored and power wash doesn't help. Should we paint it or install stone pavers?

Paint is easiest and cheapest. Removing the concrete and installing pavers is pricey. Can't install pavers on concrete.

Jannykay...I agree with William. I would paint too!
I wouldn't paint it, makes a peeling mess each year. I would use an acid stain in a garden sprayer..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSlzelQYEOU
You can either leave the background as is, or start with a base color and use exterior paint or stain and do a faux marble technique. ITS NOT HARD! I use a torn edge of various sturdy papers, cardstock, old gift boxes, and choose contrasting colors, (a dark color, to cover the undesired concrete), Simply spongepaint or dry brush along the torn edge using the paper as kind of paint template or stencil. I try and act as if I am painting the paper rather than the concrete, that way I don't care so much what it looks like and over think it. Then seal it. I've seen it done online and tried it on my fireplace mantle, hearth, table tops and more! It really looks great when you are done and you can't tell it's really easy!
I’d clean it really well, let it dry thoroughly, then use a concrete stain.
A follow-up question: I tried a power washer on the concrete and it was pitting the concrete. Any better way to clean it?
