We have a wooden stove sitting on a brick base with a brick wall and chimney behind it. How can you update that without removing it completely?

There are countless styles of wood-burning stoves. We really need to see what it looks like now before we can offer suggestions on what might reasonably be done to update its appearance. Please post a picture.
I'm sorry there are so many things on the fireplace. This is in my son's home and I'm not there to clean it up. But this stove is in the middle and the brick on the wall and on the hearth is what I am wanting to update
