How can I build a shelf in my desk to store the computer keyboard?
I don't use my keyboard for my computer and I can't put it under the screen because the base is tubing made out of aluminum that has an unusual shape.

Especially if it is the older larger style of keyboard with the attached number pad, I would suggest that instead of spending money trying to build a shelf to hide it, purchase a small compact wireless keyboard that can be moved anywhere, when in use or not.
Hello Marilyn,
You could always stand the Keyboard up on it's side near by. Can you disconnect the Keyboard and place it under the computer table. or put it in a drawer or cupboard out of the way. That would save you having to dust it!
I do what both John and flipturn suggest. I have a wireless keyboard and I stand it up next to the cpu when not in use
