    What needs to be repaired?

  • What needs repairing??? Remodeling is a big task. Check out books and magazines at your local home improvement center or your local news stand. Or visit the library. There are many on line sites and You Tube videos too. Here are some to get you started!

With any remodeling in a camper, weight placement is critical to keeping the unit stable. Most campers have lighter beds, chairs, etc. check your paper work, and work with in the stated tolerances.

What kind of repair do you want? RV Remodeling could include all interior and exterior things that not every RV owner can do by themselves. But minor repair can be done on your own by simple DIY techniques. I also have done DIY repair. Some body work on the rear of the unit and on my roof with the help of RV Roof Magic. Did some research and it was the one that really stood out on all fronts plus had solid reviews from some rv publications. Also, what I like about the product is that it did not require a primer and it never needs more than one coat. Product dries to an aesthetically pleasing look for a fraction of cost of a roof replacement. The product can be applied with a simple DIY application extending the service life of your RV. Liquid roof is an ASTM certified product that has high flexibility, reflectivity, excellent waterproofing, and durability.

Remodeling of any type can be one project or several depending upon what needs repaired or updated. Make a list of all the items you want to be changed/repaired and then prioritize the list. If you use your RV a lot there will be items that need repaired/tightened/replaced because of the movement down the road. Start at the roof to see if it need repaired so that whatever else needs done doesn't get damaged by weather. You could likely find a RV dealership that would inspect the entire RV and make the suggested list for you, sort of like taking a car you might be considering for purchase being inspected by a mechanic or knowledgeable car person.
