How do I fix an outdoor swing?

I have an outdoor swing and it's rusty and some parts are broken loose at the bottom of seat. So I want an idea to re do the cover part or use something else instead..

    You'll have to remove the cover and repair the broken parts. May have to have them welded. Remove rust and Prime with Rusoleum Rust Converter and spray paint with exterior spray paint a fun color. Use the old cover to make another or have it made with exterior fabric. If still in good shape, just clean and put back on. Add some colorful pillows to match the new color of the frame.

    Even with some damage to the cover, you can repair it with some mesh or screen from the hardware store. Hand sew the patch with thin wire thread. Bend any raw edges to the back so you don’t get stung. Paint the mesh with the rest of the swig, and use large cushions on the seat. Jewell

    I would keep the stand but buy a new swing. They are probably on clearance now since they are seasonal.

    Sand the rust and use beige Rustoleum Spray paint to repaint the frame.

    We had the same problem. My husband screwed wood slat to the frame and we painted the frame and add cushions. looks great!
