Re do how? What are your countertops now? Tile? Formica? Wood?
Shawna, you have a choice on how you want your counters to look, like marble, or granite, or wood, or many choices and it is possible without putting out massive money when you do it yourself! Here are a few ideas, but there are many more if you need them. Put "paint counter tops" in the search box for more ideas. I have chosen a few for you:

There are a few questions I have to help answer your question a little better! What kind of countertops are you starting with, and what type are you wanting to have instead? I am loving epoxy pour countertops right now! I recently took a piece of plywood, cut it to the size of my vanity I am building, cut sink holes out and did an epoxy pour to make it look like marble! I was beyond excited about the results! It looks like marble...not cheesy, not cheap...it looks like real marble! I haven't finished the vanity yet, so I don't have any amazing photos to show you of mine, but I couldn't get over how inexpensive and easy it was to make! Here's a video I watched on YouTube that gave me the guts to try it out! Lol! Hope this helps!
