The container must have drainage hole with lightweight, well draining potting soil. Water deeply until water runs back out the holes.

Hydrangea Care
The best thing to do for it is to plant it in the ground. I received one 10 yrs ago as a gift. I planted it on the north side of our home and it has flourished. Gives me great joy to see it bloom each year.
