How can I store my empty gas cans?
We have 12, 5 gallon gas cans from past hurricanes. Does anyone have an idea on how to store them with out taking up floor space?
Not in the bathroom, since moisture and heat will effect it. I keep mine in a drawer of my desk, but, have used cupboard space in the kitchen. Check labels for temperature recommendations for storage. Light , moisture, temperature and safety all needs to be addressed. If there were children in the hour I would store them in a lockable box (I used a lockable toolbox when my kids were small since even Tylenol can be toxic.)
Is the medication over-the-counter (purchased from a store without prescription) or prescription (has an individual's name on it, and was purchased from a pharmacy dispensary) ?
Are you still taking the medication or not?
What form is the medication, for example -tablet, liquid, or ointment ?
Here's an article that explains some of the guidelines.
Keep in mind that you can always ask the pharmacy staff any questions about storing particular kinds of medications, if you are still uncertain.
Store prescriptions and over-the-counter medications in air tight containers, away from extreme temperatures (hot and cold ), moisture, and direct sunlight.
I use photo storage boxes from any caft store. One for my medications and one for the pets withdividers with each name. I have in a kitchen cabinet. Since I live alone, my emergency contacts know where they are stored. Also handy for anyone that might need to take care of all the pets in my absence. I also have duplicate meds - 2 weeks worth in my "to go bags" for myself and the pets in case of an emergency. Living in earthquake country and with the wildfires that we have had in the last two years, we need to be prepared.
