How can I paint this TV stand (pic attached)?
I want to paint my tv stand white, but I don't know which paint to use. I would like to keep part of the wood but I just don't know how to go about it.

Precious....Chalk paint does not require sanding so you might think about that.
Fusion mineral paint is tough and is what we used on our tv cabinet. Here's what we did (featuring some wood like you're hoping to):

I'd suggest you first paint the black parts with white chalk paint. Then, see how you like the wood parts from there.
I would think you want to use something that is durable. Here are steps I normally use for a piece that is in good shape without repairs needed:
Scuff finish with steel wool
Clean with denatured alcohol
Prime
Paint
Clean well. Prime with Kilz primer then paint your color. Seal with three coats of a water based polyurethane.
