How can I make a wooden box for my dogs so I can take them on my bike?

I want to take my Yorkies with me on my Schwinn Meridian trike. Please advise me on directions to have son build wooden box and add security holders for snapping vests and collars. I can add padding , blanket, etc for comfort. I would like my dogs to view things as I bike them

Here are several to choose from. I didn't know the exact dimensions you wanted so you might need to make some modifications to get exactly what you want.

These a bike baskets specifically for dogs put looks like you need to order them but perhaps you could get some ideas from these:

This is a little different. The first picture shows a picture of a basket mounted on the back of the trike in between the 2 wheels. But this is not a wooden basket is is wire:

Scroll down to number 4. This is more like a basket for a bike using a plastic milk crate:

Hope one of these works for you. I had fun looking this up I am a trike owner too and have dogs so this was something I found very interesting. Good luck!

Schwinn Meridian trike and I have a physical reason to ride this. It comes with a huge basket in the rear for groceries, whatever. Two small Yorkies , I want to place them comfortably and safely . So far, I see to buy a large wicker clothes basket and tie it into the metal basket and add ways that these two partners won’t fall out. I was really hoping that someone had a pretty idea. I surely don’t see from videos what I was asking for. Thank you.

Seniors on Meridians? How do you safely carry your tiny dogs in the back basket?

put harnesses on them and strap them securely in the basket;strap a small wire kennel into the basket and put the dogs in the kennel you can use baling wire, carbiners, zip ties, rope to attach it to your bike basket put the door side of kennel on the top and put them down into it instead of having kennel door open on side since it will be down in basket on bike.

Thank you all for the great ideas! I have the best harnesses to really fit these dogs for safety. I have a nice cushion that fits the large rear basket of the trike. I now have all kinds of tethers to try out for safety and comfort of my dogs.

Now, my better tires and tubes are coming! My dogs and I will soon be starting out in the neighborhood and doing our style of Wind Therapy. Thank You!!!
