Hi,
I hope this helps: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/living-room/furniture/turn-a-tomato-cage-into-a-plant-stand-28107279.
Turn a Tomato Cage Into a Plant Stand
Another way is to turn the stand upside down and cut off the wire legs. Place a very wide plastic bowl planter on the base, now on top. If you wish to go down in size, cut off the next layer of wire legs, and fit a planter into that layer. Spray paint the wire frame and the planter, if you wish. Since the smaller end will be going into the ground, dig a hole several inches deep, set the tomato stand into the ground, and add rocks or bricks to anchor the stand. Then fill the planter bowl with rocks, soil and plants. One extra step would be to add a shelf board across any remaining layers of the stand, and add more plants. You could also make a birdbath to fit on top of another tomato rack by cutting the legs off in the same way. Just giving you more ideas to play with! Jewell
