A picture of the porch would be helpful. What styles do you like? Colors? That is a good place to start.
Can you post a picture?
Hi Sandra,
Yes please post a picture so we can see what we are starting with.

Clean it, top to bottom, trashing or moving any things that are just clutter and trash. Repaint any porch furniture, wood racks, trash cans, columns, fencing, and the porch itself. Paint or get a new porch rug if yours is shabby. Refresh or replant any hanging planters. Geraniums are a great red touch for any time of the year. If your porch and furniture are all white, choose one or two colors for accent colors, thinking of the seasons. Take in cushions at night, and don’t leave any standing water because that will attract mosquitoes. Wipe or hose off spills and stains as they occur. Add a rain chain, or wind chimes, or other accessories that appeal to more senses than just sight. Use your porch as a real room as many months as you can. And don’t forget to keep any steps or walkways safe and attractive, too. Have a great time on your porch! Jewell
Hi Sandra - This is how we transformed our back porch from a sad storage space to a gorgeous and relaxing oasis. I hope this helps with some inspiration. Hugs, Holly
