How can I repair or repurpose this blue canopy (pic)?
I have this adorable blue canopy from Ikea. It looks like half of a circus tent when hanging from the wall. The semi circular shape was achieved with six piece extension style rod that was run through a pocket on the bottom. One of the extensions got broke. Any ideas? Ikea doesn't make this style anymore. :(4 answers

Hi Anja,
Here is a repair/replacement kit for tent poles. Something like this may work.
Hope this helps! Good luck! Lauren - The Little Lake Cottage
Try plumbing PVC pipe. It bends
Could you try using pieces of a hula hoop to replace the broken piece?
I would try a half of a hula hoop or part of a fishing pole. But the hula hoop would likely work best!
Try a piece of the flexible plastic rods that are used in supporting tents. I would hit the thrift shops, we get lots of tents in ours.
here are ideas ways videos how to bend PVC pipe https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=diy+bend+PVC+pipe
1/2" pvc or cpvc pipe should work. Comes in ten foot lengths. Don't need to bend it. The shape of the tent will secure it.
I would buy a hula hoop from the dollar store and cut in half for this.
I agree with Lauren. A tent pole splint should work.
