Is it possible to refinish an oak floor one room at a time?
i paid for our red oak floors to be refinished. Unfortunately, the contractor did a poor job and the floor is chipping. Is there a way to refinish the floors without emptying the house, one room at a time?

Yes. They do it all the time.
Thank you. That is a relief. I paid over 5K plus moved out and paid out another 5K for living expenses.
Yes, it would be easier to do one room at a time, but it still is a disruptive job!
Frustrating, we had our house refinished along with new install in a new addition done in 2015, and the job was inferior as well. Actually the new floors failed, Im not sure three coats were applied. We plan to redo ours as well.
No reason why not.
