How can I replace a can light with a chandelier in the bathroom?
I have a can light over the tub and would like to replace it with a chandelier for a more elegant look. Can this be done?

Not over the tub. The can light over the tub is made for water/moisture contact. I't sealed to prevent moisture from migrating into the electrical connections/wires.
I have seen Chandeliers over the tub in magizines and on pintress as well as on home talk. Were these specially made for the bath with water barrier?
You will need a fixture rated for wet areas.
