Use "advantage" on your pets, works great 👍.
For your carpets and furniture.... the vet told me to use borax. So I got some 20 Mule Team Laundry Borax and put it in a glass jar and poke lots of holes in the lid to make a shaker. Thoroughly cover the rugs and your couch, even the bed if needed. Wait 3 hours then vacuum it up. Empty the vacuum canister outside. You will need to repeat in 9 days as that is the incubation period for a flea.
You can also shampoo the rugs and furniture if you have a carpet cleaner with Zep Professional Carpet Shampoo in the red bottle. This will kill the eggs.
I use flea repellant on the lawn every three months. I use Frontline plus on the dogs. I bathe the dogs with doggie shampoo and a few drops of dawn detergent.
I spray the house with Home Defense.
