Doesn’t sisal rope have an odor that lingers?

I for one love the smell of sisal. Have had a sisal rug in my guest room for years.

Do you mean like a sisal rug? It has a slight smell, but I think it will fade over time, and it's not an unpleasant smell.
It will fade over time and it's harmless
I would make a spray using essential oils and spray the rope. The bad odor should go away.
