How can I make a new seat for Grandma’s rocker?
I saved this rocking chair when my Grandma passed away. Her great granddaughter loves to try to sit in it.(5yr old) Someone had woven this seat. I need something easy and durable to use it again. Thanks for any ideas.

Replacement nylon and polypropylene webbing, often used for outdoor furniture, can be purchased by the roll. Styles, widths, and colors vary.

gives directions on re doing a rope seat such as you have. Use rope or paracord as material. There are several designs you can do but the basic may be the best and easiest. The webbing mentioned before is also fairly easy to do.

I've repaired many a rush seat. It's not difficult but you need to have patience.

The instructions tell you to soak the seat material in water. The reason this is done is that, as the material dries, it will tighten up and you will have a nice firm seat with no sags.
