What can I use to decorate the cover of a small 4x6 notebook?
I have a small notebook approx. 4x6 that I want to cover. Its a drab black. Looked at wrapping paper (sheets not rolls) but can't find a small print.I don't want rigid paper, something pliable. No contact paper.

Glue some hard board onto the front and back then cover with some faux leather.
How about drawing on it with gel pens?
You could apply Mod Podge scrapbook paper then apply Mod Podge over it to seal it.
You could use scrap book paper!
Kraft paper or cardboard covers look really pretty, don't get me wrong I love them, but they just don't stand up to outdoor abuse for very long. If you want to use them, it depends on how long you use it up in and where you want to go/put it. Bending the cover back also destroys the cover faster. If you go through them fairly quickly and don't mind battered covers, it should be fine.
I personally use hard leather-like covers because I keep my notebooks in my bag and like to use one medium sized notebook for a long time , but I've tried washable paper for my notebooks and I do like them for temporary things like trips/adventures.
