I would look for a nest nearby.
Yellow jacket traps will help, but close to dusk they will head back to the nest. Watch for where the activity is concentrated at that time so you can destroy the nest during the day when fewer wasps are home
Get a couple brown paper bags. Blow them up to puff them out. Tie off with string. Hang from eves of house with a thumbtack or two. If house is large, have one on each side of the house. This will deter any more from moving in. If you have undetected nests, be safe and call an exterminator. Better to be safe than sorry.
