How do I safely clean the head liner in my truck?

It's a 1999 Dodge Ram. The truck is extremely well maintained and does not show its age. But recently I've noticed a couple dark spots on the head liner. I don't want to cause the headliner fabric to come loose or fall.

Hi Dean, Have you thought to ask Dodge Customer service? or Trims department or even a Dodge Dealer what they would suggest???

John, I thought about it but haven't yet asked the dealer. The car wash I use offered to clean it on my last visit for a fee that seemed rather expensive. I guess I'm looking for a less expensive, but safe, do it yourself option.

Spot Shot is a great product for this type of cleaning. Rub gently.

Kelly, I'm not familiar with Spot Shot but I'll check into it. Thank you.

The problems with cleaning head liners are that they have glue applied to the metal and also to the fabric, spray glue. When it becomes wet you are going to have it start sagging. I would recommend speaking with the manufacturer to find a solution. Best of luck.
