How do I make a cheap bulletin board look better?
Have a ugly plain bulletin cork board want to hang it in a room decorated kind of southwest and want it to look like something else but still usable.

Quick, inexpensive fix to correct weathered,splintering wood on deck
My wooden deck is older, and the wood has started to darken and splinter. Outside of replacing the wood, is there anything I can do for a quick and inexpensive fix?

I've covered some of mine with fabric (use spray adhesive to adhere it).
Paint the frame, use some woven fabric to cover the cork or tack on strips of ribbon or colored elastic in a lattice pattern, then glue on trim to cover the ends. Or you could try priming the cork and then using some of the new write/erase or magnetic paint which you can get tinted to any color, if a dry erase or magnetic board would work for you.
Put a frame on it. Similar to the projects posted here for framing a mirror.
Fabric, paint, stencils, mod podge.
Adhere burlap to it. I’d use a spray glue.
Then put whatever “southwestern style” corner anchors you like on it. They could be refrigerator-magnet sized western boots, cowboy hat, cactus, road runner, kachina, sun....
