Not long ago I was given a couple light duty wrought iron plant stands. Even though they are on the front porch, still too precarious and would topple over too easy. So I added a 12" concrete pavers to the top of each to make it more stable and the creatures of the night won't knock them over. Raccoons, oposums, etc. I use upside down pots to add height too. Roadside or garage sale finds are fun too. I did a wheel rim plant stand at a car enthusiasts back yard. I just gathered up random wheel rims and stacked them. Scored a piece of scrap granite slab for the top. Piled a large plant and a few smaller ones on it. It looks really good.
