Mailbox Makeover
Hi ! As a retired mail carrier , I have seen my share of unique mailboxes . Things to keep in mind . Make sure it is a standard height . That it is easy to use , that you have the red flag on the side to signal that you have outgoing mail. . That the mailbox is US postmaster approved . It usually says it on the door ! If you get a lot of mail or parcels, but a larger box ! Don't surround your box in brick !!! If the door breaks your are stuck with un protected mail . don't put planters or plants that flower around your mailbox !!! They attract bees, which can be a big problem ! Good luck !
