Hi Sandy, hope this helps you frame your canvas. How to Frame a Canvas (for Cheap!) | The Turquoise Home
This easy DIY tutorial will teach you how to frame a canvas for cheap, making a huge piece of $22 art look like it’s worth much more! ... And since this canvas that needed framing wasn’t pricy in the first place, no need to go champagne on my beer-budget art. Do you recall my DIY ...
Framing is expensive, whether you have the skills to do it yourself or take it to a framer. This painting which fills almost all the wall; ceiling to floor would be about $300 to frame if it was a home made job. The larger the canvas the wider the frame must be which is more expensive than a narrower frame. I just looked at Peggy's link and I think "large" must be open to different interpretations! Good luck.
Sandy: ready-made frames are always 50% off a Hobby Lobby. Check it out!
Sandy...I have purchased a frame the size I need or used an old one I have and removed the back and glass and glued to the canvas. Looked nice.
I would check out my local big box store and see what they have to trim pieces to build it out of.
