A vinegar water solution and newspaper or a cotton or microfiber cloth have always worked for me. Do not clean when windows are hot or in direct sunlight.
Thanks!
ammonia is the active ingredient in most window cleaners that work really well.
If you're using vinegar and water and still seeing streaks. You need to clean the windows several times. The streaks would be from dirt. You should always clean at least twice. Once for the big stuff, once for final polish.
Vinegar with a couple drops of dawn.
Windex has always worked for me. Use clean old dishcloths to dry with.
Ammonia & water works well too.
I use a damp microfiber cloth with nothing else, streak free for my windows and stainless steel. SuperCloth is my preferred brand.
