How can I clean these spots off a dresser without repainting?

How.... Does anyone have any ideas on cleaners I might use to get these spots off a second hand dresser. I have no idea what it is but suspect some kind of overspray from something. I have tried TSP and it made no difference. I am trying not to repaint. There are several places the spots appear and the whole front is messy, never uniform no matter what I try to clean and shine it with. Thanks in advance 😁

Take the knobs off, and deliberately fleck paint onto the whole area. It will look like a high end marbleized finish. I['ve used an old toothbrush. Practice on a piece of cardboard first

If you think this is kewl - take a paint brush and various colors you want on the piece. Dip just the tips and stand back. Flick the paint brush against a piece of wood and splatter paint the entire piece! I did this to a Nun's brown iron bed frame years ago for my daughter's room after painting it a base color white.

Thanks Cheryl, while this won't work on this dresser I have other wood furniture. This dresser is just cheap and it isn't a water mark.

Try a small area with, vinegar, rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, mineral spirits, and/or WD40.

You can also use a dark wax, like Minwax or Briwax to clean the dresser.

It looks like spray from Pledge or some kind of furniture polish.

You could dry brush paint or stencil a lace pattern.
