Which adhesive would glue metal bottle caps to a smooth surface?
I have tried to use hot glue to glue metal bottle caps to a cork bulletin board by filling the cap with hot glue and immediately putting it on the board. Some cap adhere while others fall off. I'm wondering if the surface is too smooth to hold the caps? If so, any suggestions on the best surface to use?

I would try a different glue and put it on the edge of the bottle caps. One you might try is E6000.
A super glue could work.
It sounds like maybe the cork is absorbing some of the glue? I second the other comments, try E6000
Always clean, sand and prime, then sand again, between each coat of paint. Put the glue around the rim of the bottle caps and allow it to set for 30 seconds before adhering. That’s for superglue, E6000, extra strong Elmer’s Glue , and most other adhesives. Hope the second time turns out better. Jewell
I would try super glue. Hot glue isn't very long-lasting unless it's holding more pourous/textured things together- like pompoms to fabric.
