I think it is a moonflower, too. So it’s either a wildflower or a weed, depending on your point of view. The pods are not edible, according to my Mamaw. Jewell

Based on the what you are calling a seedpod, I would say okra. Which is the vegetable you eat. Moonflower seedpods are teardrop shaped.
