Hi Debbie - Instead of fabric softener, I make dryer balls. Making your own wool dryer balls may seem complicated, but this is a simple step-by-step tutorial. They are so much safer than chemical softeners or dryer sheets, and they work really well. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

I don't use fabric softener. Instead I add vinegar to the rinse cycle.
I'm with Cynthia on this one. Just use a 1/4 cup of vinegar to where you would normally put liquid fabric softener. Saves a lot of money, works great, leaves no scent behind and has the added benefit of helping keep your washing machine clean.
