How can I make over this kitchen tile to farmhouse style?
I am so sick of this tile in my kitchen. The last owners re-decorated what was a classic 1930's farmhouse kitchen to this. I want to revert it back, I absolutely LOVE that old classic style. Anyone have any ideas as to a fairly inexpensive way to do it?

Your home sounds very nice, and I think updating with paint and stencils would be great. One thing I would do is get Grout Refresh and paint the grout with that rather than just paint. Because it has a sealer in it to prevent stains.
How about putting peel and stick shiplap looking vinyl or wood OVER the tiles? Or beadboard?
That is a REAL idea. Then I'm gonna get rid of the modern gas stove and replace it with (see images), then take out the totally ugly stainless steel sink and put in my dream farmhouse sink.
