How can I keep grommet-style curtains upright?

Michelle: maybe you could weave a pieces of wire into the back of the drapery top.
Spray starch!
I think whatever you use would have to be equal to the weight of the grommets. I would try a piece of material used to stiffen fabric. Ask at a fabric store. You could apply this with stitch witchery.
Depending on the weight of the fabric and grommets, I would get some iron-on stiff interfacing.
Spray starch, set with a iron, also may help keep the top of the panels stiffened.
