My wire shelves in my pantry belly in the middle so I am unable to store can goods on top of each other. Help!

Liz: this may be strange... but cut a PVC tube and wedge it upright -- so that it bolsters the shelf. Cheap fix
I would add plywood across the top of each for added security.
