Fireplace mantel over existing concrete mantel
How do you build a larger fireplace mantel over an existing concrete mantel?
buy 2 heavy duty corbels or any end pieces, I used extra large lion face curtain pull backs, they are 12 " across, and have Lowes cut a 2" thick and how ever long you need piece of raw wood, ( not finished) , like contractors use inside drywall to hold a ceiling. Looks unique and is easy to install. you could paint the raw wood to blend into your wall.
