How can I put adhesive flooring on a countertop?

I want to redo kitchen countertops to look like wood. Can i use wood peel and stick on my countertops? I’m afraid the paper wood won’t hold up.

Rose: I doubt this solution would hold up in an active place like a kitchen.
I used peel and stick tiles on a bar that wasn't used very often. Here's a link:

You probably could do it. I wouldn't cut anything on it though. You would have to use a cutting board.
I've seen people do it but over time it will come loose due to the water exposure.
