How do i hang upper cabinets if I can't find wall studs?
A family member gave up some upper cabinets that I would love to have on the back wall of my kitchen but I can not find where the studs are in the wall. Any suggestions?

Yes, go buy a stud finder at any hardware or home improvement center. Best $20 you will ever spend. Unless you find the studs, those cabinets will never make it up on the wall. Here are some options for you.

Naomie is right that the cabinets most likely can not be supported by any other backing other than studs in order to stay secured up on the wall.

You can drive a finish nail across the wall board every inch until you find a stud. Then measure Over 16" and try again. You should hit another one. Screw through the inside top of the cabinets into every stud. You will need a drill.
