If you're not afraid of color, why not give it a good spray paint with a funky color to match your decor? Maybe Tiffany blue, or yellow, fushia, or whatever YOU love.
Paint!
Paint it add mirror to top.
Paint? Additionally could you possibly post a photograph to better see your situation?

Maybe paint it like marble
Please what ever you do dont let this cool table fall victim to chalk paint! I know alot of you love the country / crafty type of style. I love , appreciate and respect mid century modern . ( I feel I'm a minority on this site because of it )
The best way , ( at least I think ) would be to sand it down and refinish it to a lighter , darker or a natural finish with a few coats of semigloss polyurethane
Yes , to paint ..very cool . But no stencil or flower designs ect...
Keep it a solid color on top . Semigloss or hi gloss would be perfect. A retro color like turquoise would look awesome !
The legs could be left in natural wood and just use a natural oil like coconut for the leggs to bring out the wood grain and make the top stand out.
Painting the legs the white , black or the same would work too. Maybe give them a fun contrasting color too.
Cheryl , I hope this helps you out on redoing you table. I'm sure what ever you choose ...it will turn out nice . And wishing you the best on all your projects .
