How can I paint plastic planters?
Over the years i have bought more and more plastic pots for plants because they are not as heavy as the regular terra cotta pots, can you give any suggestions on how to recolor the terra cotta plastic pots for something new...step by step i am older and need directions...thank you 11-20-19

How can I waterproof rope-covered outdoor planters?

you could apply glue gun glue to the pots. You need something that will stick. So maybe paper, fabric, cut outs, you could make flour dough figures/flowers etc and hot glue them on.

Use Rustoleum spray for plastic. I use the primer first, then light coats of my chosen color once dry. EASY project!
Clean and wipe down with denatured alcohol. Spray paint with appropriate paint Krylon is good for plastic. Also, I've had good experiences with the store brand at Lowe's.
