Hi Mike,
What age group are you asking about?
These are fun if you can get outside on a mild winter day: https://www.curlycraftymom.com/2013/04/snake-bubbles-fun-bubble-activity.html
Depends on age and interest. When she was little, my granddaughter and I started with play doh and plastic cookie cutters. We traced our hands on construction paper. We colored pictures. I used plastic table cloths to contain messes. I let her paint my fingernails when she asked . We moved along to making wreaths, some weaving, embroidery and designing clothes for her dolls. Now, at nine she can sew a button, sew a little, use scissors, paint pictures, etc. She can thread a needle faster than I can, and has great eye hand coordination. She plays Lego with her dad and dolls with me. She loves to cook and bake. Start simple with basic supplies, and follow their interests. Making time for cleanup at the end of the activity and making it fun helps. We would compete to see who could pick up the most toys etc. counting out loud. We sang ABC while swinging. Tomorrow we are making our annual gingerbread house. Have fun and they will, too.

Hi Mike,
Make a hanging garden plant holder - Drill holes in each end of sticks of timber and make them into a square by threading string through the holes at the corners Brick fashion!
The bottom square will need to have 2 or three same size sticks nailed or screwed or stuck across the bottom to hold the plant pot.
A much larger version of this could become a swing!
