Are you wanting to give them a makeover? I covered mine in a thin layer of concrete and then sealed it with epoxy. They still look great! First off, what do your kitchen counter tops look like now, what are they made of and what can you tell us about your kitchen in general. Do you just want to clean your countertops or redo somehow...what is your specific project?
If they are formica, you can do a hydrogen peroxide and baking soda paste to scrub. This will remove build up and many stains.
