Boil water and pour it with some dish detergent. Also, try a plumbers hook to poke through it and break it up.
Have you tried baking soda and vinegar? Use 1/2 cup baking soda and 1 cup white vinegar, when the fizzing stops rinse with hot tap water, generously.
When grease is poured down the drain it may solidify in the trap, not allowing anything to drain properly, this grease plug need to be dissolved and flushed down.
Some have suggested a plumbers tool to dislodge the plug, and others said boiling water, be careful as this may loosen the pipe fittings under the sink.
1 cup baking soda
1 cup white vinegar
cover
boil water and pour down drain after 10 minutes
Hi Jo-Ann,
I used the baking soda and vinegar method too. Once you get it clean, use 1/2 cup of baking soda and vinegar followed by hot water on a monthly basis to prevent problems in the future. Wishing you the best.
You could also clean out the trap underneath the sink. We do this when the baking soda/vinegar/boiling water doesn't seem to be reaching the clog. Good luck!

Extremely hot soapy water poured down the drain, enough to make it clog or drain slow and use a plunger (while covering the overflow with a rag). That should help clear it out.
Thank you all; there's some improvement but not total...so I'll keep messing with the baking soda & vinegar, and hot water & plunger. Thank you, truly.
