There is a spray you can get by RustOleum, neverwet, that should do it.
Hello Joyce! What are you using your twine for? You can waterproof small twine with beeswax and if you are using it for a small project like a bracelet it would be fairly simple. If you are using the twine for a larger, possibly outside project, that's a different story. You can buy a product that looks like twine/rope but it is nylon/ plastic. That would be waterproof.

Coating the twine with beeswax is a great option if it is a short length. I agree with using nylon rope if a longer length is needed! Hope this helps!

You might also try Rustoleums Never Wet in the spray bottle.
Waxing it may help.
