You could put a frame around it or glue tiles around the edge to look like a frame.

Frames can be made to fit (miter box) enhanced by stain or paint, embellished by using moldings that are more glamorous. Also they can carry on a theme you might have going on in your bathroom. Some have used rope for a more nautical look.
