I usually try an ice cube applied to the wax itself and then try to scrape it away with something that won't damage the finish underneath...like using a credit card or the side of a plastic ruler.

1 cup white vinegar, 1 Tbsp cream of tarter. Dampen soft cloth with solution and wipe wax off in direction of the wood. Then immediately dry with another soft cloth.

The kitchen towel an iron. As work'd in the past for me an still i use that trick now. Just lay the towel over the wax an iron the towel.Medium temp The wax melts into the kitchen towel .lifting it from carpets wood ect.. Anything really ..hope it helps ..its magic.. just be careful not to burn youself :) an use a old kitchen towel
