Also some nice side tables with lamps to anchor everything and fill out the space. Here is a tutorial for that https://www.hometalk.com/diy/build/furniture/how-to-make-a-rustic-style-pallet-wood-side-table-43411083
How to Make a Rustic Style Pallet Wood Side Table
I would go farmhouse style. Check our decorsteals.com for great deals and inspiration. I’m picturing a large wreath or clock above the headboard.
I think the pallet bed is lovely as well as your bed cover but the color of the pallets get lost with the gold bedding. You could use a stain to darken the pallets to give it another dimension of color or change out your bedding to contrast and not blend in with the bed.
I like the blue I even like the bed (not really a fan of pallet made furniture) but you made yours work. I would add crown molding, side tables. Art for over the bed. I took a pic of this Corot print I have in my room. These colors would be perfect for your bed! (bad photo a/c dark corner) As far as the room as a whole you need to photograph the other three walls so we can understand what you are working with.
If you going for the rustic look, use fabric like buffalo check curtains.... https://www.wayfair.com/decor-pillows/pdp/rosenblum-plaid-blackout-grommet-curtain-panels-w001797824.html?piid=1395425644

You could get a storage ottoman for the foot of that bed, or make one from pallets to store your stuff.
A couple of bedside tables and lamps.
A nice piece of large art for over the bed.
Bed looks like a unit with the bedspread in same colour tone as headboard. Nice. ..... Could add side tables with some storage, with matching lamps - maybe with deep blue bottoms. Perhaps a pics above the lamps or over the bed. OR 1 side table and a large artificial plant on the other side to introduce some "nature" into the rustic scenario.
Why not mix it up a bit. Love the pallet bed, but agree a more colorful bedspread would make it pop. Maybe use something other than rustic so the pallets headboard is the feature with a nice piece of art above that you absolutely love. Decide if you'd like a peaceful bedroom or a more vibrant one and search magazines and the internet to determine the style you like. Bright throw pillows can also make a huge change as can colorful throw and maybe a chair.
get some rustic night stands each with a small lamp and some succulent plants. and some canvas wall art (like this one? https://amzn.to/36Y7HxW)
How about some plug in light scones? You can also look at adding some height in the corner (a large plant)?
Farmhouse style decor would look very pretty in this room.
You could hang a TV in the corner so your guest could relax and watch TV in bed. http://www.luckyhometoday.com/install-a-wall-mounted-tv-yourself/
